AIMS Math testing will be Tuesday, April 9th beginning at 7:30. This will be for ALL Sophomores AND any Juniors and Seniors who have not passed. Also on April 9th will be the Stanford 10 Test for ALL Freshmen. It will also begin at 7:30.
AIMS Science testing will be on Wednesday, April 10th for ALL Sophomores beginning at 7:30.
Those not testing will be on late start with the following time schedules. MGRMC Hospice holds the 2012 Hospice Memorial: Forever in Our Hearts
The Thatcher High School Nonet Choir recently performed for the 2012 Hospice Memorial service. Those in charge of the event were very grateful for the beautiful music that was presented. Those who performed were: 2012-2013 Thatcher High School Nonet Choir from left to right: Chantel Udall, Heather Udall, Kalee Broadhead, Breanna White, Lyndsey Wright, Tyler Jensen, Jeremiah Ward, Quincy Buckley, Jason Boren, and the choir’s director, Mary Christiansen.

Academic Team Wins Bulldog Knowledge Bowl
The THS Academic Team easily won first place at the Safford Knowledge Bowl on November 7, besting ten other local area teams with a score of 83 and outscoring the second-place team by 14 points. Team “A” members include (left to right) Kale VanShaar, Robert Tillman, Shane Skinner, McKay Keith, and (kneeling) Anthony Bejarano.

Academic Team Wins Duncan Knowledge Bowl
The THS Academic Team took first place at the Duncan High School Knowledge Bowl on September 26. Team Members participating were: (front) Anthony Bejarano, (middle) McKay Keith, Kyle Clark, Robert Tillman, Eric Allred, (back)Kale VanShaar, and Justin Pate.

Spirit Line Participates in National Spirit Day
On Friday, September 7th, the Thatcher High School Spirit Line recognized National Spirit Day by participating in a community service project with other local cheerleaders. The squad is pictured with all those that participated.

Activities At THS
Please check the TUSD calendar for activities going on at THS. All Fall and Winter sports have been added along with music and other extra-curricular activities. When changes happen, the calendar with be updated. Spring sports will be added when changes are complete!

THS 2012-13 Student Handbook
A change will be made concerning the student handbook for the 2012-13 school year. As a way to help with the budget crunch, we will no longer have printed handbooks for the students. The handbook will be available online and should be read by parents and students.

Weight Room Gets a New Floor
Thatcher High School would like to thank the Thatcher Athletic Booster Club for their generous donation of a new floor for the weight room. Athletic Director Don Conrad is shown with the newly installed floor.

News From THS
Cell phones will be confiscated on sight. If they are visible or make noises or are in use anytime during the day they will be surrendered on request to any high school teaching staff member. Failure to surrender the phone will result in an automatic short suspension. The actual length of the suspension will depend on the cooperation of the individual. The phone will be kept for 5 days before it is returned (5 school days from the date of the incident).
